Charity Catwalk

I haven't blogged for a few months now, I am taking a break from planning events for a short while but I will be back with ideas and organising shortly.

I remembered I hadn't actually blogged about the Charity Catwalk show that I held at the end of July and so here is a glimpse into how the day went...

The event was held at Ridgmont House, stunning venue and great staff, I actually got married here so I was very excited about returning for this wonderful charity event.

We held the event to raise money for UNICEF, on the day there were stalls selling lots of lovely goodies:

We also had an express make over booth by the brilliant Bethany Jane Davies.

The catwalk was the main event of the day and we featured a variety of vintage, vintage inspired and glamorous outfits from Dodie Designer Dressmaker, Pink Flamingo Boutique, Violet Flamingo, Cyanide Kiss and The Dressing Room Boutique - all the hair and make up was done by the brilliant Stephanie Bentham and her amazing friends and photography was provided by the wonderful Nomnom Photography.

The gorgeous models on the day were Coco Fierce, Hellkat, Ria Holland and Cat Sleigh as well as lot's more stunning ladies! Thank you to each and everyone of them as they all made the show what it was!

After the catwalk we sat down for afternoon tea, and I must say this was the best afternoon tea I have ever had, the warm homemade scones were divine - we then drew the raffle which included Next vouchers, Clarks vouchers, Photo shoot donated by Emziliscious, yummy cupcakes donated by Little Poppet Cupcakes and Barnett Bakery and a voucher donated by Roberts-Steele Hairdressing - we then announched the top bidder for the Bolton Arena 12 month gym membership and a very glamorous Coco Fierce picked and announced the winner of the best dressed competition.

Before I finish, I would like to say a massive thank you and let my appreciation be known for a beautiful lady, very talented and incredibly kind Bexi Owen who had volunteered to sing at the event, however on the day she had a sore throat and could barely talk never mind sing - she was unfortunately was unable to sing on the day but she still travelled all the way to Horwich to show her support and let us use her microphone to announce the catwalk shows. I totally did not expect her to come along if she was unwell and I was so appreciative of her kindness to come and show her support.

All in all the day was great fun and a great success as we raised £590 for UNICEF and had an overwhelming amount of shoes donated to Shoebiz - so a huge thank you to every single person that took part, bought tickets and helped advertise the event, we couldn't have done it without you.

Please take a moment to pop over to my Facebook page and look at the fabulous photographs from the day!

Thank you for reading,
