Look at these fab businesses i've found...

The past few weeks have consisted of setting up my website, setting up on Twitter and Facebook, Designing and ordering business cards and finding fantastic people to team up with me to give my clients the most amazing event.

The people I have met and chatted with in relation to working together are so fantastic, and offer such amazing services that I just had to blog about them!

So first up we have Airy Fairy Cupcakes in Didsbury, Manchester. Airy fairy Cupcakes make stunning cupcakes, as well as layer cakes, cheesecakes and pies. They have a fantastic shop, which is so very retro, absolutely adorable. Not only do Airy Fairy bake these beautiful cakes, they offer a range of classes from cupcake decorating to burlesque and afternoon tea. If you wish to incorporate classes like this into your hen party or birthday celebrations then get in touch.

I have also been in contact with the lovely Samantha from Forget Me Not Bakery and Jenn from Little Poppet Cupcakes - both who make stunning cupcakes and their occasion cakes are perfect! Check out Samantha's ladybird cake and Jenn's bow cake, these are my favorite. I love them!

These fab little cake companies will work with me to provide clients with the perfect dessert buffet, wedding cake, birthday cake or afternoon tea.

For amazing and totally unique stationary I have found Elle is for Love and Cute Maps. Elle's work is like nothing I have seen before, she has such amazing ideas and offers a wide range of stationary for all occasions. Cute Maps are a totally unique idea, so cute and make brilliant keepsakes. They work with you to produce an accurate picture of your venue and the surrounding area.

I will be working with Simply Vintage and Queen of Hearts Vintage Crockery to help clients have the perfect vintage event. These include vintage weddings and christenings, children's tea parties, hen parties or quite simply afternoon tea, no reason necessary. These women have a fantastic collection of vintage crockery to make your event look fabulous. Bunting Queen will also be necessary, as you can't have a vintage event with out a gorgeous bunting - and these are definitely gorgeous!

Next up is my favorite dress maker Louise at Oh My Honey, her 1950's style dresses are fantastic! She made my wedding dress and my bridesmaid dresses. If you want a fab retro dress, Louise is your woman!

The retro photo shoots will be done by the brilliant NomNom Photography, as well as event photography, to capture all the fantastic moments at your event!

I will also be working with Superfunk Roller Disco and The Classroom on School Lane to give clients the party to remember!

Paper me Happy  is another totally unique and creative business, and I absolutely love what they do! They make a wide variety of paper accessories for your event, or even for gifts and accessories to wear. They are a fantastic alternative to flowers on your wedding day and can be kept as gorgeous keep sakes. I love this idea so much, I just wish I'd have found her before my wedding. I'm just waiting for a time when I require flowers and I will definitely be getting in touch.

And I can't possibly blog about fab businesses without including Chase the Sun - VW Camper Hire! Their campers are so cute, and perfect for weddings and events or taking a retro holiday to the seaside. I had 'Dolly' at my wedding and she was perfect, she sat their looking all beautiful and the guests adored her. It wouldn't have been the same with out her there.

So this is a selection of the companies that I plan on working closely with in the near future. If you require more information or wish to book an event or activity with me then please do get in touch

If you go direct to any of these fab businesses, don't forget to say you heard about them here.

Real Engagements - Your Stories

A Real Engagement - A first for Man City Football Club

When it comes to proposing, nobody can say Phil Adamson is unimaginative. For some women, the thought of combining football and romance just doesn't fit, and they would much rather sit at home watching Corrie with a glass of red than go anywhere near a football stadium - so it's a good job Kim Calland is a huge Manchester City fan!

Back in March 2010, Phil wanted to surprise Kim and give her a day to remember - knowing that she was an avid fan of the blues, he got her tickets to tour the grounds of the Manchester City stadium as a birthday present. Little did Kim know at the time, her birthday wasn't the only reason for the tour.

'I didn't know he was planning it and for my birthday he got me tickets to tour the grounds of the City stadium as we are both massive City fans'

On the day they were met by a tour guide and a film crew at the grounds - Kim was told they were there for website purposes only.

'We were taken round as if it was a normal tour - but just the 2 of us. At the end of the tour we where taken through the players tunnel and I was took to the managers chair - still unaware of what was going on! He then got down on one knee and the message came up on the big screen - he asked the question - then my family and a City player came to greet us with champagne - the film crew was actually there to film the whole day...'

Phil's proposal to Kim appeared on You Tube and on the Manchester City website as they were the first couple to get engaged at the City stadium.

Well I think it's pretty obvious that Kim said yes, and what a fantastic story to tell. It must be amazing knowing that they made history and that nobody will ever have an engagement story the same as theirs!

Phil and Kim haven't yet set a date for the wedding but they plan to do so in the near future - and they plan on getting wed in the Maldives - very nice!

You can see Phil pop the question on the Manchester City Website.

Huge thanks to Kim Calland for sharing her story with me - all the best for the future!

This is my first feature on real life events, if you have a story and would like to feature on my blog, please get in touch.

Photo booths are becoming more and more popular at events and can provide some hilarious photos of all the guests.

I can provide props and accessories such as a selection of props on sticks, sunglasses and a number of hats for your photo booth to add that extra bit of fun to your event.

Signs are also a fantastic addition to a photo booth, I can make these up with any sayings that you would like and can even suit them to your theme if you wish.

We can put together a selection of cakes and treats and organise a variety of games and activities to give them a taste of what playtime used to be like.

Have fun with your wedding dress after the big day by having a photo shoot in it - you can go all the way, be totally outrageous and trash the dress in water, mud, with paint or food - anything you can think of, or you could keep the dress in tact but accessorise it to bring out your wild side. At the end of it all, not only will you have the memories of the day but we have a number of options for you to take the photo's away and show off your fantastic day to family and friends.

Children's Tea Parties and Picnics

Similar to the above, we can organise a vintage tea party or picnic for your child's birthday and be there to capture the excitement and laughter as they enjoy the day,
